Tuck is a very naughty boy, "she walked to the credenza and bent over to open one of the doors. She had the kind of hips that made a man's hands tingle wondering what they'd feel like in his hands. She straightened and caught him staring. He shrugged. He was attracted to her and wasn't even going to pretend he wasn't. Everything about her turned him on." He doesn't beat around the bush, he's not one to hold his thoughts, "that I can't get you off my mind. That one damned kiss is still replaying [...]

Body Heat by Katherine GarberaC+, inferno, no kink, contemp, 384 pagesAndi is one of the rare female fire chiefs. She grew up in a household of men and learned quickly that to get ahead in her chosen line of work she would need to hide any part that made her seem womanly. Tucker is an arson investigator, content to never be settled in one place. And it seems that Tucker is the only man that sees Andi as a woman, rather than just a competent fire chief. This one was a refreshing break for me. Ther [...]

Raised in an all male household, full of firefighters, Andrea O’Rourke’s career path was always clear. She felt it was essential she be seen as just ‘one of the guys’. She felt it was necessary to gain the respect of her co-workers and maintain a reasonable level of professionalism. This made it very difficult for her to establish personal relationships; especially intimates ones. But that all changed the moment arson investigator, Tucker Fields, entered her office. He instantly penetrat [...]

Mmmmmm Smokin' Hot Firefighters. You can't go wrong there. Body Heat by Katherine Garbera is a re-release from 2006 but is still one hot story. A very hot but not overly erotic story. I thoroughly enjoyed this quick read. The O'Roarkes series starts with the only girl in the family, Andi, well she's not really the girlie girl type as the Fire Chief of her own station, a task very few woman have actually accomplished she's tough as nails. The O'Roarkes are all firefighters, their dad wouldn't hav [...]

Andrea O'Roarke is a strong, confident woman who is successful in her chosen profession. She is a firefighter and Captain of her own squad. She doesn't need a man to complete her or so she thinks until she meets arson investigator, Tucker Fields. Their attraction is as hot as any five-alarm fire, but what happens when their hearts become involved? Both have insecurities and fears that drive them. Can they let love and commitment in their lives? I enjoyed this book. The sexual chemistry between A [...]

This book really disappointed me. Andi O'Roark comes from a family of firefighting men. She's managed to become a fire chief in her own right. But she really doesn't know how to be a woman. She meets Tucker Fields when he comes to investigate a series of arson fires. This book had the possibility to be a really good story. Instead it just glosses over everything but the sex between them. You know Tucker is investigating but not details. It just doesn't go in depth into anything at all except the [...]

3 stars - Contemporary RomanceQuite honestly, the best thing about this book is the steamy cover. The firefighter on the front might give off some serious "Body Heat", but the story itself is rather tame. It's basically about a female fire chief who has to constantly prove herself in a male dominated profession and with her own father and brothers and the sexy arson investigator who brings out her vulnerabilities and makes her feel more like a woman. It's a light, quick, romantic read, but based [...]

Sweet and Strong wanting nothing more than to live up to other family expectations. Without losing a little bit of herself.Andi was exactly that. I was surprised that this author put a woman into such a strong role. Chief of a fire house isn't a tipocal place a woman ends up. Kudos! And I gotta sayTucker is a smooth mover. Knows what he wants and goes for it.I'd have liked a little more suspense.Sometimes the "should I or shouldn't I" got a little tiresome.A good read

Starting out this book had some potential, I mean just look at the cover! But. it started lacking. There were so many twists and confusion that I wasn't sure if the characters were upset, getting together, leaving etc. Also almost missed the who dunnit with the arsonists. Started out fine but lacked a lot of writing yet it had too much filler.

I enjoyed Body Heat! It wasn't what I was expecting. Tamer than I thought it would be but thats fine. A good read! I liked that the main character, Andi, is a female fire chief! Definitely a little different from what you normally find. And I loved Tuck! He was great! A nice little read about two people falling in love!

I enjoyed this book it was a fun read. The thing that was funny though was the guy wasn't a fireman? Leave it to the publishing company to put on a cover that will sellt the authors fault. But it was good.

Not my kind of book.I can't say I enjoyed the book, it just wasn't what I thought it would be. I thought it would have more fire fighting in it and less sex. I am not a prude by any means I just wanted more story and less of the two main characters doing each other.

I almost gave up on this book. There was no plot and the characters weren't engaging. Argh, such a disappointment.

So-so - and a heroine in her 40s who can still do 100+ chin ups is WAY too intimidating for a mouse potato like me!
