Rhyming text teaches elementary school readers about the eating habits, behavior, and characteristics to dinosaurs, and the link between those fascinating prehistoric creatures and today's birds. One of the aspects of this book that is particularly appealing is the inclusion of fossils and a brief discussion of how scientists use those to learn more about dinosaurs. Back matter includes additional information expanding on each page and illustration included in the book.

This book is the sequel to Dino Tracks in which the reader will discover treasure left behind by dinosaurs. Large print and bright, colorful illustrations describe what paleontologists find when they discover dinosaur remains. Written to the tune of Itsy-Bitsy Spider, this will surely catch the eye and ear of your readers. The back of the book contains plenty of extensions for the reader and teacher to utilize. This would be an excellent addition to any library. Recommended for purchase. Grades [...]

Too much on each 2-page spread, or too rhymey; take your pick. It would get 4 stars if it weren't rhyming. I really feel like it's a 2 star book, but the illustrati [...]
An informative rhyming book describing the life and time of the dinosaurs based on the study of fossils. A fun introduction to paleontology for young readers who will especially enjoy the big and bold illustrations.
