This horror anthology comic is mostly silly with simplistic stories. The art isn't bad but is mostly generic and nothing special. However, it's still great.The stories don't exactly have deep plotlines, to see the least, and most of the endings just sorta happen. There are some historical text pieces about "true" weird happenings that are very interesting. So, the stories themselves are dated and were probably considered corny even when they first came out. I'd say based on stories alone, this book should get a two or three star rating.However, the artwork adds another dimension for me. It completes the campy package, adding something very enjoyable, creating a complete experience. I have a soft spot for these campy old horror stories. Almost every single story has a "monster" that appears from a haunted this or a cursed that. It's played straight [...]

Meh. The back cover talks about all the great artists who'd appeared in the comic over the years—Toth, Ditko etc—but none are in evidence here. By the early seventies, apparently, the series was past its prime, as the stories here are all at best indifferently rendered and for the most part silly at best, ridiculous or illogical at worst.
